Meet Your Kula Facilitators…

 

STACEY NELSON

Stacey was drawn to the practices & teachings of Yoga at a young age, and has since dedicated her life to deepening her connection to her Self, and preserving and sharing the sacred teachings of Yoga with others. With a passion for learning, Stacey has been certified through several Yoga Teacher Trainings around the world (over 2,000hrs), and has followed her heart to many wisdom and renowned teachers, sacred sites in India, Asia, Central America, and has participated in numerous silent meditation retreats and continued education courses.

Stacey has been called to devote her life in assisting others on their journey to awaken their Soul, and unite with their Heart ~ to LOVE. 11 years of humbly teaching a vast variety of students, workshops, retreats, Yoga Teacher Trainings, 1:1 mentorship programs, as well as creating several Yoga programs, she has witnessed deep transformations in her students ~ as well as in her Self. Sharing Yoga is an opportunity for Stacey to serve and support people ~ guiding her students to cultivate awareness and embrace the connection between their mind, body, and soul ~ to experience the True Nature of their Being, and to (re)discover the innate Union with All. She aims to inspire students to come into contact with their Wholeness, while working through any suppressed emotions, stuck or stagnant energy, or physical pain in a safe & supportive space. It is her Dharma to assist others on their path and is devoted to guide them back home to their Heart ~feeling empowered, embodied, at peace, and whole.

CHERALEE JONES

Cher found her way to the healing power of yoga after having undergone several severe physical injuries during her adolescence, her permanent spinal injury being the worst. She found that precise alignment in asana combined with genuine inner inquiry greatly supported her healing process and restoration of her body structure. With time and devotion to her practice, she discovered a deeper wholeness, presence, and aliveness in life overall. 

"Presence connects us with our breath; the breath anchors us into presence. I believe all of life is a sacred ceremony, every moment and every breath. The lineage teachings I carry come from Tirumalai Krishnamacarya. My teachers studied extensively with T.K.V. Desikachar, B.K.S. Iyengar, and Sri Pathabi Jois, 3 of Krishnamacarya's students who created 3 very different yogic systems that spread throughout the world. The transmission I bring forth is a fusion of these 3 systems (Yini, Iyengar, and Ashtanga Yoga), infused with the feminine wisdom of my womb and our Earth Mother. I share yoga as a sustainable self-healing practice. If we allow it to, this practice and way of life will help us dissolve blockages and re-align with our true nature; Bliss. From this space, the clarity of why we came here to Earth at this time in these particular bodies can naturally arise.” – Cher Joy

 

What You’ll Love About The Yoga Forest…

The Yoga Forest was founded as a sustainable living experiment, through a desire for living simply, greenly and in communion with everything surrounding us.

In yoga practice, we clear the body and mind making space for wisdom and deeper understanding to flow freely and openly. In making space, we allow ourselves to experience our fullness and connection to everything around us. Yoga is therefore about cultivating flow through the body and mind and opening up to optimal experience - union.

Permaculture follows the same principles. In Permaculture, we are essentially making space for the wisdom of the entire system to fully flow, to become a more open and thriving container for life. Permaculture teaches us to observe the natural environment and work with rather than against the natural order of flow. Thus, in Permaculture we are also cultivating union. Through the Yoga of Permaculture, we are facilitating the experience of Yoga as deep ecology – by allowing the ecosystem, and ourselves within that system, to demonstrate their own evolution.


Typical 200 hr YTT Kula Daily Schedule:

Example of Daily Schedule (will vary depending on location and facilitators)

6:00-8:30 AM: Meditation & Yoga Asana class (Art of Practice)

8:30-8.45 AM: Smoothie and fruit

8:45-10.15 AM: Philosophy Discussion (Art of Living)

10:15-1:30 PM: Brunch and Personal Sadhana

1:30-2:30 PM: Special Topic, Anatomy or Ethics Discussion (Art of Living/Healing)

2:45-5:45 PM: Techniques class (Art of Teaching}

5:45-7:00 PM: Dinner

7:00-8:00 PM: Kirtan, sharing and meditation (Art of Healing) {every other day}

8:00-9:30 PM: Studying or journaling in Silence

Every 4th day of the 8 day cycle is a half day, and every 8th day a full day of Self Sadhana
