Payment Policies

Program Pricing:

Registration & Payment Options:

  • Step 1: Register with Deposit

    You can secure a spot in one of our Yoga Teacher Trainings by registering HERE with a $400 non-refundable deposit. You can also pay the deposit by check or money order.

  • Step 2: Schedule Remainder of Payment

    After making the initial deposit, you will receive a Welcome Letter confirming your enrollment. This letter will break down your remaining balance of tuition and room & board. In some cases, room & board payment is made directly to the center.

  • *Some payment forms will incur a 3% processing fee. This fee can be avoided if you pay by check or money order.

DISCOUNTS, PRIZES, FEATURED TRAININGS & EARLY BIRDS:

In order to award effort, talent, passion and compassion, Kula offers several different means to achieve discounts on Kula hosted trainings and retreats. Visit our Discount Page for a list of all discounts! Please note: only one discount per training or retreat may be applied.

Payment Plans:

  • If approved, we can customize a 3,6 or 12 month payment plan until full payment is collected. In some cases we can include room and board along with tuition.

  • We arrange payments to be made on the 1st and/or 15th of each month.

  • We require in all cases a card to have on file for processing OR we can accept checks that are postdated for the agreed dates and amounts.

  • In most cases, we require that payment plans are completed before the last day of the offering. If you are accepted to have a payment plan extend beyond the end of the training, there will be a $50 administrative fee for 3 month plans, a $100 administrative fee for 6 month plans and a $150 administrative fee for 12 month plans.

Waiting List:

  • A $400 deposit is required to have your name placed on a waiting list. If no spaces become available, your deposit will be returned in full or transferred to another training at no cost. If a space becomes available and you attend the training, your deposit will be applied to your tuition payment. If a space becomes available and you choose to cancel or transfer, your deposit will not be returned.


Cancellation Policy

If you would like to cancel or transfer from a training, please contact info@thekulacollective.com with your request at your earliest convenience. 

The Kula Founders invested great time and much deliberation in order to devise a compassionate cancellation and transfer policy that is fair to both the student and retreat centers, facilitators, and the energetic investment of Kula's administration, marketing and sales teams.

Kula makes several decisions that depend on enrollment numbers, such as the hiring of facilitators, purchasing of plane tickets, printing materials, reserving transportation for excursions and making deposits for room and board packages.

In order to get an accurate count for the number of participants, Kula requires payment in full at least 30 days before the beginning of a training. The closer a cancellation or transfer occurs to the beginning of a training, the more energy and money is invested by Kula.

YOGA TEACHER TRAININGS - CANCELLATION POLICY:

For students who would like to cancel their reservation for a Yoga Teacher Training or Facilitation Intensive, money will be refunded according to the following schedule:

100hr Modules:

  • For cancellations >90 days prior to training: A $200 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations 90 - 46 days prior to training: A $350 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations 45 - 16 days prior to training: A $650 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations within 15 days of training: A $900 cancellation fee will be applied.

200hr Training:

  • For cancellations >90 days prior to training: A $450 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations 90 - 46 days prior to training: A $750 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations 45 - 16 days prior to training: A $1,500 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations within 15 days of training: A $2,000 cancellation fee will be applied.

300hr Training:

  • For cancellations >90 days prior to training: A $600 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations 90 - 46 days prior to training: A $950 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations 45 - 16 days prior to training: A $1,950 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations within 15 days of training: A $2,500 cancellation fee will be applied.

Facilitation Intensive:

  • For cancellations >90 days prior to training: A $250 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations 90 - 46 days prior to training: A $500 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations 45 - 16 days prior to training: A $750 cancellation fee will be applied.

  • For cancellations within 15 days of a Facilitation Intensive, no money will be returned

Please Note:

Cancellations must be done in writing. Any refunds will be processed 30 days after receipt of your written cancellation. Cancellations are not permitted once a training has begun.

Kula Collective reserves the right to not credit students with Yoga Alliance certification if they do not meet all the criteria for graduation from the program – in this case no refunds will be made. However, students may qualify for Kula's Refresh program and may attend a future training paying limited tuition. If a student chooses to leave before the end of a program, or is asked to leave due to mis-behavior, no refund will be awarded.

Kula Collective reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. In this event, you will be given a complete refund, plus an additional credit of $350 towards another program, valid for 1 year. In the event that a natural disaster or other event causes a program to be moved or otherwise changed, Kula Collective will do its best to provide adequate substitutions and the program will continue; no refunds will be given if you choose not to attend or leave early.

YOGA TEACHER TRAININGS - TRANSFER POLICY:

Change fees will be applied according to the following schedule:

100hr Modules:

  • For transfers >90 days prior to training: A $100 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers 90 - 46 days prior to training: A $200 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers 45 - 16 days prior to training: A $350 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers within 15 days of training: A $450 transfer fee will be applied.

200hr Training:

  • For transfers >90 days prior to training: A $250 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers 90 - 46 days prior to training: A $400 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers 45 - 16 days prior to training: A $750 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers within 15 days of training: A $1,000 transfer fee will be applied.

300hr Training:

  • For transfers >90 days prior to training: A $300 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers 90 - 46 days prior to training: A $500 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers 45 - 16 days prior to training: A $1,000 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers within 15 days of training: A $1,250 transfer fee will be applied.

Facilitation Intensive:

  • For transfers >90 days prior to training: A $150 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers 90 - 46 days prior to training: A $250 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers 45 - 16 days prior to training: A $400 transfer fee will be applied.

  • For transfers within 15 days of a Facilitation Intensive, no money will be returned

Please Note:

No refund on price differences will be granted, but transferee may need to pay more if the program to which they change is more expensive than that from which they transferred. Transfers are not permitted once a training has begun.

Not all discounts, coupons, grants or contest awards are eligible for all trainings. In the case of a program transfer, there is no guarantee that these discounts will be transferable.

Participants may only transfer to a training that happens within one year of the change date. The training must be chosen on the date of change. Trainings may only be changed once.


TRANSFORMATIONAL RETREATS & CONTINUING EDUCATION - TRANSFER & CANCELLATIONS:

While Transformational Retreats (TR’s) and Continuing Education (CE’s) are marketed under the Kula Collective umbrella, they are owned and operated by the individual members and not the collective itself. Thus, each retreat leader has the liberty to create their own cancellation and transfer policy. If you are interested in learning about the policy for any particular retreat or continuing education program, please contact the retreat leader directly.

It is generally the case, though, that YTT tuition can transfer into TR’s and CE’s as per the above schedules. However, TR and CE tuition can not transfer to YTT’s.
