What you'll love about Seven Springs Retreat Center...

Seven Springs is the Tennessee home of Zach and Jessi, two of our Kula Collective co-founders. The family spirit is strong here: Jessi’s grandmother and parents have been homesteading the land for almost fifty years. From building to managing to mowing the grass, it takes all four generations to keep it up.

Set on 126 acres of secluded forest, this is the perfect place to disconnect and reconnect. It has come a long way in six years, earning the title of #1 meditation retreat center in Success Magazine (sep/22).

Gather for practice on our hand-built shala with local cedar posts. Nourish yourself with Olivia’s hearty local vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Fill your cup with crystal clear spring water. Walk the creek between our springs among old growth hardwoods. Get out to explore & hike Great Smoky Mountain National park just a short drive away. Just 25 minutes from the Knoxville airport and within a day’s drive of so many cities, getting away from it all has never been this easy.

What our Happy Yoga Teachers are Saying…

I can’t begin to describe how meaningful this training was and continues to be for me. It was powerful on every level: mind, body, soul, spirit. It was challenging and empowering on every level. It was healing on every level. I’m incredibly, incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn and grow with the Kula. Kula is unique and holistic beyond words. The training was deep, grounded, thoughtful, well-rounded, ceremonial, and authentic (truly words don’t even begin to scratch the surface). I have the sense that Kula is founded on love and dedication, and this love permeated throughout every part of the training. I am deeply honored to have had the opportunity to train with Kula.

Hear from our Happy Yoga Teachers…

The rules of Divine timing brought some very beautiful humans into my life, in a beautiful place, and at exactly the right time.. and although it’s hard to fully articulate my experience with Kula; I know I came out a completely new person. The lens through which I looked out into the world shifted from a state of separation to a state of pure undivided connection. I began to TRULY SEE (maybe for the first time) through the lens of unconditional love. Unconditional love for myself, for humanity, and for the very earth I walked upon.

Ironically, the teacher training with Kula Collective didn’t teach me anything that I didn’t already know about myself. Instead, they provided me with the framework and language that guided me in the direction of my greatest joy. They guided me through the process of what it takes to fully step into the most authentic version of myself so that I could navigate through life perfectly aligned with who I am. They showed me the innate ability I have to make choices that are in alignment with my true nature. Through this I began to experience a level of comfort and acceptance for who I am, and started living out my real purpose in the world. This is where the magic happened. This is how I took my power back. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

So thank you to my Kula family. I carry you in my heart for the rest of eternity.
— Stephanie Sandoval

4. WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE A KULA COLLECTIVE 300 HR YTT?

Within each of us lies a guru, a wise one who knows the truth behind each of our thoughts, words, and actions, an ancient soul that sees through to the essence of all things and knows all there is to be known. Our unique offerings will help reveal the voice of this wise one, giving you the tools and language you need to share the spiritual practice of yoga and empowering you to trust in the channel of truth you carry.

Our Yoga Teacher Trainings and Transformational Retreat offerings are created as holistic experiences; to understand Yoga you must first understand Self... body, mind, and spirit.

5. ARE KULA COLLECTIVE YTT’S YOGA ALLIANCE CERTIFIED?

Kula Collective is certified at the 200 hour level and 300 hour level.

6. WHAT TYPE OF YOGA WILL BE TAUGHT IN A KULA 300 HR YTT?

Kula Collective trainings draw from a broad foundational understanding of the vast tradition that is this 5000 year old approach to Self-realization. We thread the four traditional paths throughout our training programs, encouraging a holistic and experiential approach to practice and teaching.

We also weave together diverse understandings of various wisdom cultures and infuse a shamanic connection to the Earth and her elements.

In regards to Asana practice, the ‘Kula Flow’ is a slow vinyasa based sequence with an emphasis on mindfulness, breath, meditation, and alignment. Since vinyasa is not derived from any one lineage, as a collective we have come up with a creative sequence rooted in multiple traditions. The Kula Flow is has roots in Ashtanga, Sivananda, Kundalini, Hatha, and Iyengar. The intention of the flow is to give students an opportunity to access the stillness of the mind, preparing the body for meditation; the foundation of Yoga. As the program progresses, variations on the Kula Flow will be offered for different levels of experience.

The first round of teaching will be the Kula Flow; the second round will be a beginners or intermediate level class where students are required to create and sequence their own class holistically around a theme of their choice, and will be mentored throughout this process

7. WHAT DOES KULA MEAN?

Kula in Sanskrit refers to a community of the heart, a group coming together of its own free will. An intentional community, a family, a tribe, a sangha to support your spiritual evolution.

8. WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT KULA COLLECTIVE?

Kula Collective weaves together diverse holistic experiences and educational offerings from each of our members, drawn together as a whole through using a common thread that respects ancestral traditions, unites our passions, and inspires spiritual growth in ourselves and in others.
