Integration, Insight, Empathy.

By: Kali Basman

It is said a Yogi committed to the path of inner awakening, a practitioner in wholeness, hosts three essential aspects of an evolved capacity: Integration, insight, empathy.

Integration:

  • recognizes their limitations and their potentials

  • celebrates the radical possibilities of an ever evolving selfhood

  • understand the multiplicity of humans; no fixed self

  • acknowledges all the roles & parts each of us plays

  • listens to the wisdom from all aspects of self [even the burdened ones]

Insight:

  • senses their authentic nature

  • mitigated need for others/external experience to validate self

  • sees clearly the nature of impermanence

  • celebrates their precious, ephemeral human existence

Empathy:

  • interpersonal broadness to encompass other people’s distortions

  • capacity to feel the interior life, emotional landscape, of another

  • ability to experience Muddita, joy for other people’s successes
